Creation of Adam by Michelangelo

The Creation of Adam is a fresco painted by Michelangelo circa 1511 that appears on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
It illustrates the Biblical story from the Book of Genesis in which God the Father breathes life into Adam, the first man.
Chronologically the fourth in the series of panels depicting episodes from Genesis on the Sistine ceiling, it was among the last to be completed.
It is one of the most famous images in the world.

The Photo Contest I Entered; First Time I’ve Done Something Like This

I found out about this contest about a week ago, purely by chance. Entering it was a whim at first, but then became a bit of an obsession. It’s probably just as well I didn’t find out about it earlier. :>)
Regardless of the outcome I’m really glad I decided to do this. Everything is about the first few steps!
